Opening up the evening at The Amphitheater stage Thursday Night.
The Living Room Stage Thursday Night.
The Living Room Stage Thursday night, laying down some 4/4 heaters, one of the best sets of the evening, and a great push to start of Shambhala 2015.
The signs this year were mega. From the festival favorite, Sooowet to laser eye Gary Busey, I was in tears most of the festival just due to all of their hillarity.
Sunshine of the West Coast. Such rad hangs with this one this summer. Good vibes.
The disco man himself. One of the raddest dudes I know out in Vancouver and one of the most experienced DJ's at that. Some special stories come with this one. Featuring a moon rise during his set, I was losing my mind.
Big up to Mike Hula @ The Living Room Stage for always having the best Thursday night jams on the beach.
Patrik Cure of Greazus
Badman, one of the most impressive Western Canadian acts out there, closing out The Amphitheater Thursday Evening. Grime, bass, 85 business, these boys play it all. A massive team up from Cure x HxDB. Check them out, I promise you will love it.
Such hilarity went on at the Homebreakin' camp this year, I got to spend a lot of time with these boys while on the farm. Staples. Dauncey's 5:30AM set at Shambhala is a fucking institution, a very moving set at that. If you are out on the farm or at Bass Coast next year, seriously stay up for this.
Ryan Eno of Howe Sound
This hand was hilarious. There were many different doll/tiny appendages I saw on the farm, but this one did it for me. Rad times with him + pleasure partying with these dudes.
Massively stoked to see some old friends by surprise at Shambhala this year, Nick and myself go way back, to the teenage years. Big up, so good to have seen you.
Intense looks from one of the Calgary bass fam. Fun times at The Grove.
Zach + Friends
A great depiction of the alter egos, and characters that arrise while having fun on the Farm. We all turn into children at Shambhala, thats its main essence, pure fun.
The aerial acrobatics this year were mega. Really enjoyed all of it.
JIM + BJ
Speaking of old friends, the one on the right especially is one of the most positive raddest dudes I have befriended in my lifetime. Cheer ups for days. Joining us on the farm to see OpenEnd play out at The Village for the first time. Massive.
Waterfall @ The Village
Tried looking in from behind it? Its wild.
Running into this dude, sharing secret sets, rocking one of the Noctilux Collective Pendants, rad to see brother.
Dubplate badman, made his way to the farm last minute. Massive moves.
I love Llamas, the stage manager of The Grove on Friday night was bringing this everywhere he went, a shrine of such, I loved it.
This Performance at the Grove was massively great. Feels.
Skrillex @ The Village
Insane, there was a density of more humans in this space then I have ever seen with my own eyes. Insane to see.
My favorite stage this year, I spent a lot of time out here, Funktion One, deep music, intimate vibes. All my favorite.
Big up to Byron Witlaw for his hard work with this this year.
The view of The Grove
During Subscura Collective's performance, this sums it right up.
Lorne B x Mr Moe
Former yyc house and tehno master, Lorne is great to see and hang with out at the festivals now, laying down a killer set of dub techno, it was the most proper of techno sets all weekend.
A great homie, I remember Reece was one of the first conversations I had at my first photography gig at a nightclub when I was 18, from the lack of experience that day, look how far we have come. KILLING IT.
A good homie from the YYC, massively stoked to see him play out at the festival. Extremely hard working man behind a lot of the PK work in town, you deserve it.
A brother from Van, with my favorite afternoon set, was very keen to catch it, all of the music i heard was the finest selection of 4/4 sounds. Proper.
Rave it up. Love the feel on this one.
Robbie Slade of Sabota
Badman, such a rad all around dude and unbelievable musician, putting Western Canada into the eyes of many around the world. His work with Sabota x Humans has been heard.
Max Ulis of Sabota
Serious Badman, running some of the greatest and inspiring movements in this neck of the world, keep on brother, I will always be watching.
one of the first things while walking into Fractal Forest. Isolated light from LED's is my fav. Special one.
DJ Zinc @ Fractal Forest
A rare view of the forest, this was a mega set for me, I immediately ran and put my camera down to run laps around the expanded stage yelling BOH.
Sinister Times during Excisions set at The Village this year, sensory overload. In a good way.
Snapped from the very top of the stage, it was wild being up there, the first time I ever have been, great exploring on Friday Night.
From the front, it felt like Indiana Jones in there during the Dirty Bird takeover. I'm not sure what that means, but the damn thing looks like the Arc of the Covenant.
Every year I get one frame looking out at the projectors/lights at Pagoda on the flyover. This one was this years. Love.
Deep, Dark + Dangerous
Dre Kills. One of the best news pieces while roaming on Friday night to learn, that Truth was playing at The Grove no less. Unreal.
I was moshing. It was great.
Big up to the man, the most emotive music I have heard in a minute. I was completely immersed. It was unbelievable.
Great energy from this performance. Great to meet Nate and the gang afterwards. I'm sure I will be seeing you guys soon.
From the front. Love this.
Fractal Forest Lookout
Check it, Its unreal this stage won my heart this year.
Camo x Krooked
Unreal hanging with the drum and bass camp at The Village During this, great set.
Badman Biome. Unbelievable producer and a absolute killa on the decks. Serious times.
Amazing to see a close friend of mine be able to close out The Amp on Monday morning. The final moments of my Shambhala were strong because of this. Wouldnt have had it any other way.
